Why is Canadian down a superior product to Chinese Down?
The birds are much older when the down is harvested in Canada. This means the down filaments are substantially longer than on down from younger birds in China. The longer the filaments are, the better their ability to trap air for insulation.

Cheaper Chinese down products flatten more quickly due to the short length of the filaments. This is the reason that Canadian down products remain so fluffy and luxurious feeling over a great length of time and insulate you so well.
